The position

Nurix is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Intern to join our Preclinical Pharmacology group with a primary focus on in vivo pharmacology and pharmacokinetics (PKPD) and oncology, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.

The Preclinical Pharmacology intern will work within the department of Preclinical Pharmacology to support internal project activities, including experimental design, assay optimization and in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo experiments. The intern will learn relevant techniques, and how to write protocols, generate and analyze data, and present data to internal meetings.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on intern who enjoys bench work and wants to contribute directly to the generation of high‑quality data that drive target validation, lead optimization, and clinical candidate selection.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a BS, MS, or PhD program in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, or related discipline
  • Preferred but not required: 
    • Knowledge of PK/PD concepts and basic pharmacokinetic analysis
    • Experience with inflammation, immunology, or oncology
    • Experience with PD biomarker assessment (e.g., ELISA/multiplex cytokines, Western blot, flow cytometry, qPCR); 
    • Experience working with electronic lab notebooks and data analysis/graphing software (e.g., Excel, Prism, FlowJo or similar).
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to communicate across teams 
  • Self-motivated with ability to work collaboratively
