Student Activities Funding Board - Assistant Chair
The Student Activities Funding Board assists the more than 250 registered student organizations at Oakland University in implementing and developing programs, events, and other activities to benefit the Oakland University student body by fairly and equitably allocating its financial resources.
As Assistant Chair, you will:
Work directly with the SAFB Chair to support board meetings and daily operations.
Support communication and coordination between SAFB and student organizations.
Ideal for students interested in leadership, campus involvement, and financial decision-making.

Familiarity with Oakland University student organizations and campus culture.
Availability to attend regular SAFB meetings.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous involvement in student organizations or campus leadership roles.
Experience with budgeting, finance, or resource allocation.
Familiarity with Oakland University policies and student organization processes.
Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Interest in student engagement, governance, or campus programming.
This position begins May 25th, 2026.
This position has a maximum of 10 hours per week in the Summer semester and a maximum of 20 hours per week in the Fall and Winter semesters.
