About Play Academy
Play Academy is a community-centered organization dedicated to improving health and wellness for people of all ages. We run youth programs including summer camps and youth sports leagues, creating safe and enriching environments where kids can thrive.
Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented college undergraduate to join our team remotely as a Human Resources & Hiring Intern. You will play a hands-on role in supporting our hiring process as we grow our staff and volunteer base. EST time zone preferred.
What You'll Do
- Assist with posting job openings across job boards
- Screen and organize applications and resumes for open positions
- Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communications
- Help maintain candidate tracking records and hiring documentation
- Support onboarding tasks for new hires and volunteers
- Assist in drafting job descriptions and updating internal HR materials
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled sophomore or junior (HR, Business, Communications, or related field preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting
- Passion for community service, youth development, or health and wellness is a plus
Schedule & Communication
- Fully remote | 10–15 hours per week | Flexible around your class schedule
- Communication via Microsoft Teams, Slack, and email
- Weekly check-in with your supervisor to review tasks and progress
