Salesforce Developer (Information Technology Analyst 2)

The State of Connecticut, Department of Administrative Services (DAS), Bureau of Information Technology Solutions (BITS) is seeking two Salesforce Developers (Information Technology Analyst 2) to lead the maintenance of legacy applications and development efforts in Salesforce on behalf of the Department of Social Services (DSS) (Micro Apps Team).

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

  • Monday - Friday.
  • First Shift, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Location: Hartford.
  • Hybrid (combination of on-site and remote work).

 

THE ROLE

The Salesforce Developers will support the maintenance and operations of a newly implemented Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system that uses Salesforce and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Connect.

Salesforce Developers can expect to:

  • Translate business requirements into solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform and various integrations.
  • Design solutions that leverage Salesforce best practices and introduce new technologies when necessary.
  • Design, build, and configure applications that are highly functional, scalable, and easily maintained.
  • Develop end-to-end Salesforce solutions including custom platform development using Advanced Programming Experience (APEX), Triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, external data integrations, middleware tools such as Mulesoft, and Salesforce APIs (Application Programming Interface).
  • Automate business processes using Salesforce automation tools, such as Process Builder, Workflows, Formulas, Flow, Assignment Rules, and email Alerts.
  • Assist in the estimation of work effort, determination of required resources and schedule development.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and unit testing.
  • Provides application support by analyzing defects, replicating/fixing defects, and providing root cause analysis for defects. Troubleshoots and resolves functional and performance-related issues.
  • Perform related duties as required.
