(Summer Role) DCOM Kids Club Assistant Teacher
Dream Centers of Michigan, an affiliated entity of Woodside Bible Church, is seeking passionate and skilled educators to serve as Assistant Teachers for our 5-week (July 6-Aug 7) summer Kids Club program. This program is designed to enrich the lives of elementary students through academic support, creative expression, and social development.
The Assistant Teachers will support Teachers in delivering high-quality instruction and maintaining a structured, engaging classroom environment. This role plays a key part in supporting student learning, reinforcing routines, and assisting with behavior management to ensure a positive and consistent experience for all students.
Assistant Teachers provide hands-on support throughout the day, especially during transitions and high-need moments, and contribute to the overall success of the program.

Experience/Qualifications:
- Experience working with elementary-aged children (grades 1–5) preferred
- Background in education, child development, or related field preferred
- Ability to support classroom instruction and student engagement
- Basic understanding of behavior management strategies
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for youth development, educational equity, and creating positive student experiences
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports Lead Teachers with daily instruction and small-group learning activities
- Assists in maintaining classroom structure, routines, and organization
- Helps manage classroom behavior through redirection and reinforcement strategies
- Supports transitions between activities to ensure a smooth and structured flow
- Provides additional support during high-need times and student escalations
- Supervises and engages with students to promote a safe and positive environment
- Attends and supports all activities, including Friday field trips
- Participates in all required orientation and training sessions prior to Kids Club Summer Edition
