Food Service Worker 1 (Summer Position Only) – Camp Wilton

Looking for a meaningful summer job where you can make a difference? OPWDD is hiring Food Service Worker 1 staff to support campers and staff at Camp Wilton. This role helps prepare and serve meals while creating a safe, welcoming dining experience for individuals with developmental disabilities.

What You’ll Do

Assist with meal preparation and food service
Serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks to campers and staff
Help monitor dietary needs and meal plans
Clean and sanitize kitchen and dining areas
Operate kitchen equipment including dishwashers
Work as part of a collaborative camp team

Position Details

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week
Pay: $15.97/hour
Appointment Type: Temporary Summer Position
Location: Camp Wilton / Capital District Region
Travel Required: None

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old
Eligible to work in New York State
Food service experience preferred
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus
Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment
All candidates are subject to a criminal background check
