Job Description
The Junior Scrum Master supports Agile teams by facilitating Scrum ceremonies, tracking progress, and removing impediments to ensure smooth sprint delivery. This entry-level role focuses on building foundational Agile and delivery management skills while working under the guidance of senior leaders.
They help improve team collaboration, support stakeholder communication, and promote continuous improvement. The role also embraces an AI-first approach, using data and automation tools to enhance productivity, streamline reporting, and inform decision-making.
Working in a consulting environment, the Junior Scrum Master collaborates with cross-functional teams—often within the insurance domain—supporting platforms like Guidewire, Duck Creek, Salesforce, and others, while reinforcing Agile best practices and driving efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and ensure adherence to Agile best practices, supporting teams delivering on platforms such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, Salesforce, Earnix, and Majesco.
- Align the team on sprint goals and priorities while supporting backlog readiness and effective sprint planning.
- Identify, track, and help remove blockers to enable smooth and predictable delivery.
- Foster collaboration and coordinate across teams to improve overall delivery outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement by leveraging retrospectives and tracking key metrics such as velocity and burndown.
- Leverage AI/GenAI tools to generate insights, automate reporting, and improve team efficiency and decision-making.
- Communicate progress, risks, and updates clearly to stakeholders to maintain alignment across the delivery lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Agile and Scrum frameworks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and adopt emerging technologies, including AI/GenAI.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: 60,000 - 65,000
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.
These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.
It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
