Real Estate Manager Internship (Academic credit) - Remote

Job Identification 

• Position Title: Real Estate Manager Internship 

• Department: Product Management 

• Position Level: Entry-Level Internship 

• Pay / Salary Range: Unpaid 

Job Summary 

• The goal for this internship is to understand the structure of New York Habitat's Product Management department. The intern will learn the services we provide, how the department interacts with clients and owners, the company’s positioning in the market for connecting local, out of state and international travelers with accommodations, through understanding the New York Habitat inventory of furnished rentals. The intern will be working  on implementation closely with Managers in several departments. 

Responsibilities and Duties 

• Maintain and create listings 

o Constructively communicate with owners to maintain our listings,  creating listings in New York, London, Paris, and the South of  

France, from start to finish, including photo selection, descriptions  & floorplan creation 

• Update listings 

o Learn how to ensure that all listing information is kept up to date and 

update the listings’ availability for Paris apartments 

• Business and Financial Modeling 

o Be involved on the promotion of the new pricing strategy and acquire an in-depth knowledge about business and financial  modeling in the field of Real Estate 

Management Responsibilities and Duties 

• Human Resources Support: 

o Facilitate the hiring, training, and supervision of interns.  

o Verifying and checking time per tasks. 

• Problem Resolution: 

o Handle reported issues promptly, investigate their root causes, and ensure appropriate actions are taken to resolve them with  management.

• Assistance in Finance: 

o Provide support to the Sales Director in financial matters, assisting with listing , pricing duties and bookkeeping. 

• Management: 

o Identify and address, matters, including complaints, disputes, and  the collection of agency fees payments. 

• Property Marketing: 

o Help market vacant apartments, houses, or buildings on behalf of property owners, using various channels to attract potential  tenants or buyers. 

• Reporting and Communication: 

o Provide regular updates and reports to managers, property owners, keeping them informed about the status of their 

properties and making recommendations for improvements . Performance Standards 

• Based on New York Habitat’s quality standards for the Product Management, student will be trained and taught by real estate instructors 

o Participate to classes with regards to the organization of the company and the current state of laws surrounding real estate  marketing 

o Learn how to communicate with owners and clients 

on an international level 

o Have hands on training and receive a manual and videos to understand the use of NYH’s own database 

o Learn how to write daily and weekly reports for the 

assessment of his/her progress 

Skills and Education (KSAOs) 

• Mandatory 

o Currently a student taking up a bachelor’s degree in either 

Management, Business, Real Estate, or related fields 

o Must be dependable, punctual, and dedicated to doing the assigned work 

o Has exceptional communication and writing skills 

o Can attain Academic Credits for the internship 

o Can work remotely 

• Desirable 

o Must be dependable, punctual, and dedicated to doing the assigned work 

o Must be detail-oriented
