About the Position

Nursing Student Interns play an important role in supporting patient care and assisting licensed nursing staff with daily clinical responsibilities. This position is designed to provide students with meaningful exposure to healthcare environments while developing practical nursing experience.

Nursing Student Interns will:

  • Assist with patient observation and monitoring, including obtaining vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature
  • Support nursing staff with basic patient care procedures and daily clinical tasks
  • Assist with patient assessments and physical examinations
  • Observe patients for changes in condition and communicate findings promptly to the healthcare team
  • Maintain accurate medical records while following HIPAA guidelines and confidentiality standards
  • Support medication administration under the supervision of licensed nursing professionals
  • Participate in patient care planning and collaborate with healthcare team members
  • Provide compassionate support and positive patient interactions throughout daily care activities

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program or related healthcare training program
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Compassionate, dependable, patient, and eager to learn
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and attention to detail in a clinical environment
  • Familiarity with patient assessments, documentation, and clinical procedures preferred
  • Commitment to providing quality patient care and maintaining patient confidentiality
