Frontend Product Engineering Intern
About Quikturn
Quikturn is a company intelligence and data platform for investment banking, private equity, consulting, product, and development teams. We aggregate and structure data across private and public markets (companies, investments, and deals) and make it usable where analysts work. Our web app and PowerPoint add-in turn that data into clean, formatted slides like tombstones, comp pages, and league tables in seconds instead of hours. Our API, TypeScript and React SDKs, and MCP server let developers and AI agents pull company data and brand assets straight into their own products.
We are a small founding team moving fast and closing our first enterprise deals. Interns here are more employee than intern; owning real surface area, shipping to production, and working directly with the founders.
The role
You will build the surfaces our customers touch every day: the web platform where analysts search companies and logos, explore markets data, and arrange it into export-ready slides, plus the PowerPoint add-in that does the same thing without leaving the deck. You will care about both how it feels and how it is built. Our users are exacting professionals who notice when spacing is off, or something isn’t working right. We work with leverage, so you will orchestrate autonomous developer agents to build, refactor, and review UI, and own the taste call on what ships.
What you'll work on
- Orchestrating autonomous developer agents (Claude Code and similar) to build and refactor UI faster: scoping work, directing agents, and reviewing the output
- Features in our React + TypeScript web app: company and logo search, the draggable/resizable layout canvas, and PowerPoint export via pptxgenjs
- Our Office.js PowerPoint add-in (PowerPoint.run / context.sync, hooks-first architecture, in-slide insertion and layout logic)
- Surfacing company and markets data (companies, deals, investments) in clean, scannable UI
- Drop-in UI for our Logo SDKs (React components, the <quikturn-logo> web component)
- Search UX that stays fast under real use: debouncing, race-condition handling, responsive states
- Clean, minimal interfaces consistent with our brand (Satoshi, Quikturn navy/blue)
What we're looking for
- Strong React + TypeScript; you have shipped real UI, not just tutorials
- An eye for design and detail: layout, spacing, type, interaction states
- Comfort reading API docs and wiring frontends to real backends
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience directing AI coding agents or agentic workflows
- Experience with the Office.js / add-in environment, or building inside a constrained iframe or auth context
- Canvas, drag-and-drop, or layout/geometry work
- Experience presenting dense data (tables, comps, dashboards) in a clean, usable way
- Familiarity with pptxgenjs or generating Office documents programmatically
Info

- Location: Remote, or hybrid in NYC
- Compensation: Intern revenue-split compensation pool
