Description:
The Construction Intern will support the Construction Coordinators and Project Management team to execute construction management and program management ventures for a specific project.
- Adhere to the company's safety programs and policies and assist others with compliance.
- Assist in the planning and coordinating of on-site functions including, but not limited to, the following: scheduling, engineering, material control, procurement, safety and provide day to day support to project foremen and superintendents.
- Maintain all records including jobsite master schedule, document control log, change order log, time keeping, and field project files.
- Initiate the purchase order process and rent and manage equipment procurement. Assist coordinators to ensure adequate inventory for project.
- Assist the Project team in building relationships with client, craft, and other subcontractors.
- Assist the Project team with craft training and jobsite activities as needed.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree.
- Prior internship and/or related consulting experience Preferred
- Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
