Personal Injury Legal Assistant

Well respected Plaintiff personal injury law firm is searching for a hard-working and dedicated legal assistant to assist an attorney with Michigan personal injury cases.

The candidate must be a great communicator and able to talk to clients. We are looking for a hard worker. Training will be provided.

The position entails various duties, including but not limited to the following:

• Order medical records/billings follow ups (including getting final settlement amounts from providers at end of settlements).
• Assist with client telephone calls, including communicating with clients about their ongoing personal injury case.
• Creating and sending our correspondence to clients and insurance companies. 
• Assist with Social Security Disability (SSD) medical updates. 
  • Speak with SSD/DDS Hearing offices
  • Send out forms to SSD Offices
  • Reach out to clients in regard to getting treatment updates &/or when SSD needs more information
•  This position will also entail putting together insurance demands and other legal work.
