Caregiver Companion Mentor

We are looking for someone to be a caregiver, companion and mentor to our 15 year old girls who are in wheelchairs due to a neuromuscular disease that prevents them from walking.  They do not have behavior issues and are very sweet girls.   Our ideal candidate would be a college student studying in a medical related field such as Physical Therapy, Nursing…etc.  The role would also include any assistance they need such as meal prep, homework and transferring.  We also have a wheelchair accessible van for transportation.  Care would be provided in our home in Lake Orion.

This position is part of the Michigan Children’s Waiver Program.  A handful of online courses would need to be completed to work for us.  The position pays 23.95 an hour.
 

We are flexible as your class schedule changes and are an easy going family.  We currently have three students who rotate through the week and create a new schedule with every semester.  If interested, please message me to discuss further.
