Grant Writing Lead Intern
GRANT WRITING LEAD INTERN
Remote Position - College Credit (if needed) - Unpaid
Time Commitment: 12 Months | 6-8 hours/week (Seasonal/Temporary) Flexible schedule based on school requirements.
General Description:
The Grant Writing Lead Intern will lead a team of creative, passionate Seasonal Grant Writing Interns at Digital4Good. The person who fills this role will be responsible for the development and submission of grant applications. The ideal candidate must have expert communication and leadership skills and experience with grant research and writing.
Duties:
- Oversee all Seasonal Grant Writing work and due dates.
- Lead the weekly meetings.
- Plan and organize quarterly agenda topics for Steering Committee Meeting.
Learning Objective/Outcomes:
Upon completion of the internship, students will be able to…
- Develop the ability to research and identify potential grant opportunities aligned with the organization's mission.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of Digital4Good x #ICANHELP’s programs and initiatives to inform grant writing.
- Enhance prospect research skills to identify new funding sources, including foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
- Acquire grant writing skills to draft compelling proposals and letters of inquiry.
- Compile and manage relevant data and information to support grant applications, maintaining accurate records of submissions and outcomes.
- Assist in cultivating and maintaining relationships with donors and funding agencies.
- Improve time management and organizational skills to handle multiple grant applications and adhere to deadlines.
- Develop written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey the organization's mission and funding needs.

Evaluation:
- Commitment: Participate in weekly meetings and check-ins (Minimum of 75% attendance)
- Timeliness and Organization: Track projects and meet all deadlines, or communicate with supervisor before setting new deadlines
- Brand Integrity: Maintain organization’s brand consistency by using brand voice and designated assets in public-facing communications
- Engagement: Accumulate points for engaging with organizational social media pages, attending workshops, attending work events, participating in marketing video/photo, filling out survey, and finishing a project/campaign
