Position Summary
miPlata is seeking an energetic, outgoing, and self-motivated Sales & Field Marketing Intern to join our team. This is a hands-on, road-based internship ideal for students interested in sales, business development, marketing, agriculture, fintech, or entrepreneurship.
The intern will travel with our sales team to farms, nurseries, agricultural operations, trade shows, community events, and industry conferences to introduce employers and workers to miPlata’s products and services.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys meeting new people, working independently, and spending time outside of a traditional office environment.
Responsibilities
- Travel to farms, agricultural operations, and local businesses as part of the sales team.
- Distribute marketing materials and promotional items at events and job sites.
- Assist with event setup, registration, and attendee engagement.
- Introduce employers and workers to miPlata products and services.
- Gather prospect information and document leads for follow-up.
- Support community outreach initiatives and local sponsorship events.
- Conduct basic market research and competitor observations.
- Assist with social media content creation from field visits and events.
- Help maintain accurate records of visits, leads, and event outcomes.
- Represent the miPlata brand professionally at all times.
Qualifications
- Current college student or recent graduate preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable speaking with strangers and starting conversations.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout North Carolina.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required.
- Interest in sales, marketing, agriculture, fintech, or business development.
