Job Title: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
SDET  - Level 2; remote.  
Pay:  $50/hr

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions that ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications. The ideal candidate is technically strong in Python, comfortable working in Agile environments, and experienced with modern testing frameworks, continuous testing practices, and cloud-based systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python

Build and enhance automated test frameworks for functional, integration, and regression testing

Execute and support continuous testing within CI/CD pipelines

Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams in an Agile development environment

Test RESTful APIs and services, including validation of REST protocols and web socket communications

Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and verification

Analyze test results and provide clear, actionable feedback to stakeholders

Ensure test coverage across application layers and environments

Support testing efforts in Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments

Required Qualifications

Strong programming experience in Python

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment

Hands-on experience with continuous testing and CI/CD practices

Proficiency with automated testing frameworks such as:

Selenium

NUnit

xUnit

pytest

Solid understanding of REST APIs and web socket communication

Experience testing applications deployed in Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with performance and load testing

Familiarity with containerized or microservices architectures

Experience with test reporting and monitoring tools

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
