Overview:
Boothette 2.0 is seeking Electrical Engineering Interns to help develop the electronic systems that power our smart focus booths. These booths will feature electronic locking systems that integrate with a companion mobile application, allowing users to securely reserve and unlock booths through their smartphones.
Please note: This is an in-person position based at our headquarters in Central New Jersey, near Princeton.
As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will help design, test, and integrate electronic hardware, locking mechanisms, sensors, and power systems that bring the Boothette 2.0 platform to life. This is a rare opportunity to help build connected hardware products within an early-stage startup.
Responsibilities:
-Assist with designing and integrating electronic locking systems for smart focus booths.
-Help prototype, test, and troubleshoot electrical components and hardware.
-Support integration between electronic hardware and the companion mobile application.
-Assist with wiring, power management, sensors, and embedded hardware components.
-Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers on product development.
-Research emerging technologies related to IoT devices, smart locks, and connected hardware.
-Participate in product testing, quality assurance, and system validation.
-Maintain technical documentation and engineering records.
Qualifications:
-Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field.
-Interest in embedded systems, IoT devices, electronics, and hardware innovation.
-Experience with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, microcontrollers, PCB design, or embedded systems is a plus.
-Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
-Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary startup environment.
