The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack AI Engineer, based in Mexico, to help architect and build the next generation of AI-native products at Kaya.

This is not a traditional SaaS engineering role. You will work across frontend applications, backend infrastructure, AI orchestration, knowledge systems, and operational workflows that power real-world construction projects.

You will collaborate directly with leadership, product, and customers to rapidly design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions for high-stakes environments where procurement, scheduling, logistics, and execution directly impact project success.

The role includes periodic travel to Mexico City and Culiacan, Mexico to work alongside teams and stakeholders on the ground. If you are excited about shipping production-ready AI products that solve meaningful operational problems, we would love to meet you.

Location and Travel

1. This is a Mexico-based role.
2. You should expect periodic travel to Mexico City and Culiacan, Mexico to collaborate with local teams, partners, and project stakeholders.
3. Comfort working across distributed, cross-country teams and time zones is important.

What You Will Do

1. Design and build AI-native workflows powered by LLMs, AI agents, RAG pipelines, and orchestration frameworks.
2. Develop scalable full stack applications across web, mobile, and AI-powered interfaces.
3. Architect reliable backend services, APIs, and cloud infrastructure for mission-critical workflows.
4. Build intelligent procurement, logistics, and supply chain coordination systems.
5. Create modern, intuitive frontend experiences with exceptional performance and usability.
6. Develop knowledge graphs, semantic search, and retrieval systems for complex infrastructure data.
7. Integrate multimodal AI capabilities across documents, drawings, schedules, images, and field operations.
8. Build voice-enabled experiences, workflow automations, and operational AI tools.
9. Partner directly with customers to rapidly prototype, validate, and launch new capabilities.
10. Help establish engineering standards, architecture, and AI best practices across the company.
11. Continuously improve system reliability, scalability, security, and developer experience.

What We Are Looking For

1. Fluent Spanish speaker, written and verbal. This is a mandatory requirement.
2. Professional fluency in English. This is a mandatory requirement.
3. Based in Mexico and willing to travel to Mexico City and Culiacan, Mexico.
4. 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
5. Proven experience building and shipping production-grade full stack applications.
6. Hands-on experience developing AI-powered products using modern LLM tooling and frameworks.
7. Strong understanding of backend architecture, APIs, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure.
8. Excellent frontend engineering skills with strong product and UX intuition.
9. Ability to quickly move from idea to production-quality implementation.
10. Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with a high degree of ownership.
11. Available to start immediately or within 1 to 2 weeks.
12. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
13. Passion for building practical AI products that solve real operational challenges.
