Overview
ULimo is seeking an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Handshake Recruiting Manager Intern to oversee our company’s Handshake employer account and support university recruiting initiatives.
In this role, you will help manage ULimo’s internship postings across approved colleges and universities. You will create, edit, renew, and monitor job postings; track school approvals and denials; review posting statuses; and help ensure that internship descriptions remain accurate, professional, and up to date.
The intern will work closely with ULimo leadership and the Human Resources team to improve our campus recruiting presence, expand relationships with university career centers, and help attract qualified students across business, engineering, technology, marketing, human resources, and other departments.
This role is ideal for students interested in human resources, talent acquisition, university recruiting, recruitment operations, employer branding, business administration, and HR technology.
Responsibilities
-Monitor and maintain ULimo’s Handshake employer account.
-Create and publish internship and job postings on Handshake.
-Edit job descriptions, qualifications, responsibilities, and application instructions as needed.
-Review postings for professionalism, accuracy, grammar, formatting, and consistency.
-Track which colleges and universities approve, deny, or have not yet responded to ULimo’s employer connection requests.
-Submit job postings to approved schools and monitor their approval status.
-Renew, duplicate, update, or close postings when necessary.
-Maintain an organized record of active, pending, expired, and declined postings.
-Research colleges and universities that may be a strong fit for ULimo’s recruiting needs.
-Communicate updates to leadership regarding school approvals, posting performance, and recruiting progress.
-Assist with responding to university career centers when additional company or posting information is requested.
-Coordinate with hiring managers to confirm position details before publishing postings.
-Support employer branding and campus recruitment initiatives.
-Help ensure that job postings accurately explain whether positions are remote, hybrid, in person, paid, unpaid, or commission based.
-Recommend improvements to increase posting visibility, applicant quality, and student engagement.
-Assist with reviewing applications and directing candidates to the appropriate hiring team when needed.
Qualifications
-Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Psychology, Organizational Psychology, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
-Strong written communication, proofreading, and editing skills.
-Excellent organization and attention to detail.
-Ability to manage multiple job postings and deadlines.
-Comfortable learning and navigating recruiting platforms.
-Ability to communicate professionally with leadership, applicants, and university career centers.
-Experience with Handshake, LinkedIn, applicant tracking systems, Google Workspace, Notion, or Microsoft Office is a plus.
-Interest in talent acquisition, campus recruiting, employer branding, or HR operations.
-Dependable, responsive, and capable of working independently in a remote startup environment.
