Fylm TV is a creator economy platform offering a Netflix-style viewing experience for high-quality independent films, short films, and series. The platform provides filmmakers with built-in monetization and audience engagement tools while allowing studios and intellectual property buyers to identify projects gaining meaningful traction.
Fylm TV operates on a freemium model and generates revenue through advertising, subscriptions, merchandise commissions, and intellectual property marketplace transactions.
We are also developing the Fylm TV Film Festival, which will bring together filmmakers, entertainment technology startups, industry professionals, and intellectual property executives. The festival will feature film screenings, workshops, networking opportunities, panel discussions, and exhibitor booths. Our inaugural event is currently scheduled for November 2026.

Role Description
Fylm TV is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Film & Media Copywriting Intern to support our editorial and content initiatives.
This part-time remote internship is ideal for someone interested in film, media education, independent filmmaking, film festivals, entertainment technology, and the broader film industry. The intern will assist with writing and researching content for the Fylm TV blog, newsletter, social media channels, and industry resource directories.
The role will involve researching relevant industry topics, creating engaging written content, and helping maintain directories of film festivals, grants, funding opportunities, and filmmaker resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Write informative and engaging blog articles about film, media education, filmmaking, film festivals, and entertainment industry trends
- Research popular and emerging topics for the Fylm TV blog, newsletter, and social media channels
- Assist with writing newsletter content and promotional copy
- Develop short-form content for X/Twitter and other digital platforms
- Research film grants, funding programs, fellowships, competitions, and festival opportunities
- Update and maintain Fylm TV’s directories of film festivals, grants, and industry resources
- Verify deadlines, eligibility requirements, application details, and links for directory listings
- Support editorial planning by recommending timely and relevant content ideas
- Edit and proofread content for grammar, clarity, accuracy, and consistency
- Collaborate with the Fylm TV team to ensure content aligns with the company’s voice and audience
Qualifications
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and research skills
- Interest in film, television, digital media, media education, or the entertainment industry
- Familiarity with independent filmmaking, film festivals, or filmmaker resources is preferred
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and engagingly
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when reviewing dates, eligibility requirements, and application information
- Ability to identify credible sources and verify information before publication
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with blog writing, newsletters, social media copy, or search engine optimization is a plus
- Must be based in the United States
