Junior Data Analyst
Job Description:
The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data to support business decision-making and operational improvements. This role develops and maintains data systems, identifies trends and insights, and delivers actionable recommendations that help drive strategic initiatives. The Data Analyst collaborates with business leaders and cross-functional teams to improve data quality, reporting capabilities, and overall organizational performance.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering Management, Project Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience/knowledge as a Data Analyst, Business Data Analyst, or in a similar analytical role.
- Strong understanding of data models, database design, data warehousing, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
- Experience using statistical analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, SPSS, SAS, R, Python, or similar analytical software.
- Strong knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Experience writing SQL queries, developing reports, and presenting analytical findings.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret large datasets accurately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences.
Expected Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.
- Develop, implement, and maintain databases, data collection systems, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
- Design and optimize data analytics strategies to improve statistical efficiency, data quality, and business performance.
- Acquire data from internal and external sources while ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Clean, validate, and transform data by identifying inconsistencies, errors, and performance issues.
- Perform statistical analyses using appropriate analytical tools and methodologies.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and visualizations for business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with management to identify business needs and prioritize analytical initiatives.
- Present findings and actionable recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements through data-driven analysis and performance monitoring.
- Support decision-making by providing accurate, timely, and meaningful business intelligence.
- Ensure compliance with organizational data governance, quality standards, and reporting procedures.
- Continuously evaluate and improve data collection, reporting processes, and analytical methodologies to enhance organizational effectiveness.
