Summary
Resilience, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to improving the mental health of students, as well as reducing mass shootings, suicide, and depression. Resilience, Inc also works to combat declining test scores, low student engagement, and a slew of other social issues.
Our organization focuses on offering Social Emotional Learning tools to enable K-12 schools to teach emotional intelligence through five core topics; self-awareness, self-control, social awareness, relationship management, goal setting, and effective decision-making. Resilience, Inc. also provides tools for acquiring and maintaining inspiration, hope, and overall well-being.

Job Title: Graphic Designer Volunteer
Location: Remote
Type: Internship (Part-Time) (Unpaid)
Duration: 4 Months
Job Descriptions:
- Create high-quality graphics for Resilience Inc.’s social media platforms to support brand awareness and campaign growth.
- Promote Resilience Inc.’s evidence-based Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum by developing marketing visuals and creative assets.
- Build and execute a graphic design plan aligned with SEL curriculum themes and Resilience Inc.’s mission to equip youth and families with resiliency skills.
- Design, edit, and place graphics for print lesson plans and curriculum materials to ensure clarity, consistency, and a student-friendly look and feel.
- Create and edit social media post designs (static posts, carousels, simple motion graphics if applicable) that communicate SEL concepts in an engaging, easy-to-understand way.
- Develop visual concepts for merchandise (e.g., stickers, apparel, classroom materials) that reinforce SEL messaging and expand community engagement.
- Use graphic design software to produce visually engaging assets for both digital and print formats (including proper sizing, resolution, and print-ready files).
- Present fresh creative ideas and concepts for merchandise and campaign content, aligned with Resilience Inc.’s values and target audiences (K–12 students, parents, educators).
Requirements:
- Alignment with Resilience Inc.’s mission and values, including commitment to supporting emotional health, SEL adoption, and resilience-building for youth and families.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/certification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent portfolio experience).
- Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Canva, Figma, or similar.
- Strong understanding of design fundamentals (layout, typography, color, hierarchy, and brand consistency).
- Ability to adapt designs for different audiences and channels (social media, print lesson plans, and merchandise).
- Detail-oriented with strong file organization habits (naming conventions, versioning, and asset management).
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate fresh, mission-aligned design concepts.
- Able to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines.
- Able to collaborate with a team, incorporate feedback, and attend remote weekly meetings.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsive in communication.
