Sales Associate Intern

Summary

Resilience, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to improving the mental health of students, as well as reducing mass shootings, suicide, and depression. Resilience, Inc also works to combat declining test scores, low student engagement, and a slew of other social issues.

Our organization focuses on offering Social Emotional Learning tools to enable K-12 schools to teach emotional intelligence through five core topics; self-awareness, self-control, social awareness, relationship management, goal setting, and effective decision-making. Resilience, Inc. also provides tools for acquiring and maintaining inspiration, hope, and overall well-being.

Job Title: Outreach Associate / Sales Representative (Sales)
Location: Remote

Type: Internship (Part-Time) (Unpaid)
Duration: 4 Months

Job Descriptions:

  • Assist in developing and executing outreach strategies to build partnerships, attract supporters/investments, and support recruitment of specialized roles aligned with organizational growth.
  • Research and identify potential partners including schools, mental health professionals, nonprofits, and community organizations that align with Resilience Inc.’s SEL mission.
  • Draft and send outreach communications (emails, messages, proposals) to initiate and nurture relationships with prospective partners.
  • Conduct high-volume outreach to mental health counselors, educators, and school administrators to expand distribution of Resilience Inc.’s SEL curriculum across the U.S.
  • Support coordination of outreach campaigns, virtual events, and partnership initiatives that promote emotional health and resilience-building programs.
  • Promote SEL curriculum initiatives by collaborating with internal teams to develop outreach projects and campaign materials.
  • Engage with organizations, advocacy groups, and stakeholders to support awareness and positive legislative dialogue around SEL adoption in K–12 education.
  • Build foundational understanding of legislative policies and educational frameworks related to SEL programs and implementation.
  • Conduct cold email outreach to schools interested in adopting SEL curriculum and emotional intelligence programs.
  • Conduct cold calls with educators and school staff to introduce curriculum offerings, gather feedback, and identify partnership opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate outreach records, CRM updates, and documentation of communications and follow-ups.

Requirements:

  • Strong alignment with Resilience Inc.’s mission and values, including commitment to promoting social and emotional health and expanding SEL adoption—especially in underserved communities.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Policy, Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence in outreach, networking, and relationship-building.
  • Comfortable conducting cold outreach (email and phone) in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Interest in education policy, mental health advocacy, or nonprofit partnership development.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage outreach tracking and follow-up workflows.
  • Ability to research organizations and identify strategic partnership opportunities.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet outreach targets.
  • Able to collaborate with a team and attend remote weekly meetings.
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsive in communication.
