Engineering & Science Intern - Signature Research Inc. - Navarre, Florida

Signature Research, Inc. is looking for motivated engineering and science student Interns to join their team in Navarre, Florida.

You don’t need an impressive list of specialized experience or every technical skill mastered before you walk through the door. What matters most to us is that you’re curious, willing to learn, comfortable accepting coaching, and ready to put some real thought into challenging problems.

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and scientists, contribute to actual technical projects, and build practical skills that go well beyond the classroom. If you’re the kind of student who likes figuring out how things work, why they work, and what to do when they don’t, this is a great place to spend your internship.

WHAT WE OFFER.

  • $22.00 per hour.
  • Flexibility to work around your school schedule and ideally, put in 16 hours per week in-office.
  • Remote work is not available.

WHAT YOUR DAYS WILL LOOK LIKE.

Depending on your background, interests, and assigned projects, you may:

  • Learn and apply SGR’s engineering, scientific, and software-development procedures.
  • Assist with preparing CAD geometry and generating or reviewing meshes for computational analysis.
  • Configure, run, and monitor existing computational tools under the guidance of experienced team members.
  • Develop, modify, and test scripts or software using Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or other programming languages appropriate to your background.
  • Support laboratory, field-test, and measurement activities, including equipment preparation, data collection, data organization, and documentation.
  • Compare computational results with measured data and help investigate why the two may not always agree.
  • Work methodically through unfamiliar technical problems while learning how experienced engineers and scientists approach them.
  • Ask questions, receive feedback, improve your work, and keep learning along the way.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR.

  • Must be currently enrolled in a scientific or technical college or university degree program such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Someone curious, dependable, and willing to learn—especially when the problem in front of you doesn’t come with an obvious answer.
  • You are comfortable receiving coaching, asking questions, and using feedback to improve your work.
  • Willing to stick with challenging technical problems and work through them thoughtfully.
  • Any experience with: CAD tools (such as SolidWorks or Rhino), animation software (Blender) , MATLAB, Python, C/C++, computational modeling and simulation, engineering analysis, laboratory work, or technical research is a plus.
  • Class projects, research, internships, competition teams, and personal projects all count. We’re interested in what you’ve tried, what you’ve learned, and what you’re excited to learn next.
  • A valid driver’s.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain a security clearance. Don’t have clearance? No problem—we’ll help you through the process.
