Engineering Intern
Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to join our Maintenance/Controls team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the automotive industry, working on projects that drive efficiency and innovation in our manufacturing processes.
*This is a year-round internship
Responsibilities
- Assist the plant with the planning and implementation of new products and/or changes to the manufacturing process.
- Help develop plans for new products and launches including manufacturing technologies and available alternatives.
- Develops and implement schedules for projects.
- Contribute to the company continuous improvement efforts through value analysis, maintaining up to date knowledge of manufacturing/tooling techniques and develops process improvement opportunities.
- Implement modifications to product or equipment from engineering changes.
- Maintains good housekeeping standards.
- Follows all safety procedures.
- Additional tasks as assigned by the company.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Preferred Prior internship or project experience in a manufacturing environment
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Earliest graduation date we will consider - Fall/December 2027
- Hours - 40 hours with flexibility in schedule
- Majors - Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electronic Engineering
- On-site position
