What You’ll Be Doing:
As a 50-State Compliance Intern, you will monitor, document, and conduct research related to the regulatory requirements of each state to ensure optimal functionality. You will also ensure our nonprofit practices align with applicable laws, policies, and governance standards while working with other associates under the 50-State Compliance Manager and Department Director. An associate must be willing to dedicate at least 5 hours per week. Training and guidance are provided, and no prior experience is required. This is an entry-level unpaid internship role; academic credit is available for students who need or want it.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with researching state regulations relevant to nonprofit operations
Support organization and maintenance of compliance documentation and records
Follow confidentiality and ethical standards when handling sensitive information
Provide timeline and general administrative support to the Self-Governance & Compliance Department
Qualifications
All majors welcome — political science, public policy, legal studies, and related majors preferred
Familiarity with legal and compliance research practices preferred but not required
Willing to learn and communicate
