Gallo Glass Engineering Internship (July-December)

A Taste of What You'll Do

Join Gallo Glass Company in Modesto, California, where innovation, manufacturing excellence, and continuous improvement come together to create world-class glass packaging solutions. As an Engineering Intern, you'll work alongside experienced engineers and technical leaders while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic production environment that directly supports one of the world's largest family-owned wineries.

In this role, you'll contribute to meaningful engineering projects while building practical skills in manufacturing, process improvement, and problem solving. Opportunities may include supporting Hot End Forming, Cold End Inspection, Furnace/Batch, or Warehouse operations, where you'll help identify opportunities for improvement, analyze data, and assist with implementing solutions that drive operational performance.

You'll gain exposure to project management, process design, equipment start-ups, commissioning activities, continuous improvement initiatives, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Working collaboratively with engineers, suppliers, and production teams, you'll help develop standardized work processes, conduct studies, support equipment optimization, and contribute to projects that create real business impact while accelerating your professional growth.

What You'll Need

  • Currently enrolled at a college or university and working towards a Bachelor’s degree in the School of Engineering; or have obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the School of Engineering.
  • Requires availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
  • Available for the entire duration of this internship program – July through December 2027.  
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

How You'll Stand Out

  • Junior or Senior class standing at a college or university and working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Familiarity with statistical software.
  • Basic knowledge of statistical analysis methods.
  • Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving skills.
