About the Role
We are seeking a Data Analytics & Business Intelligence Intern to help turn clinical, operational, financial, and growth data into useful decisions. You will own defined analyses and reporting tools that help leaders understand performance, identify opportunities, and expand access to pediatric care.
This is a hands-on role with real data and real business questions. It is ideal for someone who enjoys finding the story behind the numbers and communicating it clearly.
Responsibilities
Analyze patient demand, therapist capacity, utilization, referral conversion, retention, and location performance
Build and maintain dashboards and recurring management reports
Clean, combine, and validate data from multiple systems
Identify trends, outliers, and root causes behind performance differences
Develop forecasting and capacity-planning analyses
Translate findings into clear, practical recommendations for leadership
Document definitions and processes so reporting can scale across locations
Example Projects
Build a dashboard showing demand, capacity, and utilization by location and clinical discipline
Analyze where patients drop out between inquiry and first appointment
Forecast therapist hiring needs based on referral and scheduling trends
Compare location performance and identify the practices driving stronger results
Measure engagement and audience growth for The Pediatric Collective
Qualifications
Current undergraduate or graduate student in analytics, data science, statistics, economics, engineering, finance, business, public health, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
Experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Python, R, or similar tools is strongly preferred
Ability to work carefully with imperfect datasets and validate results
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail, judgment, and personal ownership
Based in and authorized to work in the United States
Experience with healthcare data is helpful but not required.

Compensation and Timing
