What You’ll Be Doing:
As a high-net-worth donor management intern, you will help our outreach team find, research, and connect with wealthy individuals who can donate to and support our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Donor Research: Search online to find information about major donors, businesses, and foundations that care about our cause.
- Write Summaries: Draft brief profile notes on potential donors to help our team prepare before meetings or calls.
- Keep Information Up to Date: Add phone numbers, mailing addresses, and donor details into our system so our records stay organized.
- Draft Messages: Write simple, polite thank-you notes, follow-up emails, and letters to invite donors to events.
- Meeting Prep: Help gather materials, documents, or presentation slides for team calls with major supporters.
Qualifications:
- Interest in politics, fundraising, or nonprofit work.
- Comfortable searching for information on the internet and using tools like Google Sheets or Excel.
- Clear, polite writing skills and strong attention to detail.
- Understanding of how to keep personal donor information private and confidential.
- Able to work 5 hours a week and meet short deadlines. No prior fundraising experience required!
