Interns gain hands-on experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team while exploring careers in human services. Opportunities may include attending IEP meetings, observing clinical services, shadowing nursing and behavioral health professionals, and participating in other learning experiences tailored to your goals.

Compensation: $20.20 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students in residential, educational, and community settings.
- Assist students in developing daily living, social, communication, and independent living skills.
- Serve as a positive role model and maintain professional relationships with students.
- Support implementation of individualized educational, treatment, and behavior support plans.
- Supervise and engage students during classroom activities, residential programming, recreational activities, and community outings.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students on campus and in community settings.
- Collect, record, and maintain accurate documentation related to student progress and behavior.
- Collaborate with teachers, residential staff, clinicians, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Assist in maintaining safe, organized, and therapeutic learning and living environments.
- Respond appropriately to challenging behaviors and participate in approved crisis intervention procedures when necessary.
- Attend required trainings and maintain required certifications.
- Observe and participate in interdisciplinary meetings, treatment planning activities, and professional shadowing opportunities.
- Follow all agency policies, procedures, confidentiality requirements, and behavior management protocols
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- No prior experience required. Experience working with children, individuals with disabilities, or in human services settings preferred.
