Content Writer
The content writer assists the development of a school curriculum to teach emotional intelligence to children in K-12 schools in an aim to help prevent school shootings, drug addition, depression, domestic violence, and suicide. Teaching emotional resilience requires a systematic, structured program and the content writer will work to innovate how social-emotional skills are taught in school.
They work within the Curriculum Development Department, which is dedicated to creating our original program, SELENA. The curriculum is incredibly robust, with over 30 topics, content for every grade from K-12, and translations in Spanish, Mandarin, and more. Between the development of comic books, a professional development curriculum, and upwards of 20 more topics in the works, content writers have incredible flexibility to work on what they’re interested in. Key Responsibilities
- Writing lesson plans, scripts, and individualized supports that will be used in schools within a matter of months
- Researching and organizing facts and sources
- Working with a large team to innovate school curriculum
- Collaborating with campaign managers, creative team, and designers
- Writing a wide variety of topics for multiple platforms (website, blogs, articles, social updates, banners, case studies, guides, white papers, etc.)
- Ensuring all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
