Police Cadet
What you will do
- Assists with traffic management in a non-enforcement role as directed by the supervisor or certified Police Officer.
- Enters data into computer and database systems, Compiles and maintains records, files, and reports. Assist with preparation
written materials such as reports, memos, and correspondence. - Provides assistance to traveling public as needed (e.g., assist with baggage, assist with vehicle location, answer general
wayfinding questions, contacts roadside services, etc.). - Answers phone calls, greets visitors, and directs matters to appropriate personnel.
- Participates across the public safety division to learn and participate in the work of multiple departments including
Police, Security, ARC, Compliance, and Credentials. - Detects and reports suspicious and unlawful activities to immediate supervisor and/or security staff.
- Assists in crowd management duties during large events.
- Supports Police Officers when they are managing traffic.
- Write non-criminal reports
- Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.
Qualifications
- Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of application.
- High School Diploma or Certificate of High School Equivalency
- Must have basic computer Skills
- A Valid Driver's License and a safe, acceptable driving record.
- Proof of successful completion/passing of MCOLES pre-employment standards, including written examination and physical agility tests.
