Are you passionate about cancer prevention, obesity research, and community-engaged science? The University of Texas MD Anderson Acres Homes Cancer Prevention Collaboration is seeking applicants for a funded Postdoctoral Fellowship in Obesity-Related Cancer Prevention Research.
This unique training opportunity prepares future leaders to address obesity-related cancers through research, intervention development, and community partnerships focused on populations facing persistent economic and health challenges.
What You'll Do
- Conduct mentored research with experts in cancer prevention and population sciences.
- Gain hands-on experience working with community partners.
- Learn research methods used to design and evaluate interventions that address obesity-related cancers.
- Develop skills in behavioral science, epidemiology, health promotion, health policy, biostatistics, economics, communication, and related disciplines.
- Build a strong foundation for a career in cancer prevention and obesity-related cancer research.
Fellowship Support
- Salary starting at $64,000 per year, based on experience
- Up to one year of full-time support

Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Hold (or complete before fellowship start) a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree.
- Have training in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, behavioral or social sciences, health promotion, economics, communication, health services research, health policy, or a related field.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to a career in cancer prevention and obesity-related cancer research.
- Reside in Texas at the start of the fellowship.
- Be eligible regardless of citizenship status (U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and visa holders are welcome to apply).
Fellowship Details
- Location: MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX
- Appointment: Up to one year
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Format: On-campus/hybrid, depending on mentor approval
