Position Overview:
The Supply Chain & Project Management Intern will support sourcing and supply chain operations by managing supplier research, RFQs, tracking procurement activities, analyzing performance data, and maintaining structured project and meeting documentation. Throughout the summer, the intern will coordinate an improvement project and deliver a capstone presentation summarizing key results, insights, and recommended next steps. The internship will be full-time for 10 - 12 weeks during the summer of 2027.

Your Day to Day as a Supply Chain & Project Management Intern:
- Support competitive sourcing activities by clarifying requirements, researching suppliers, preparing RFQ information, and organizing quote comparisons under specialist guidance.
- Assist with purchase requisition and purchase order tracking, supplier acknowledgments, delivery dates, invoices, and status reporting.
- Analyze spend, pricing, lead time, and supplier-performance data; build clear Excel-based summaries and dashboards for the supply chain team.
- Participate in supplier and cross-functional meetings; maintain action, issue, risk, and decision logs and follow assigned actions through completion.
- Coordinate a defined supply-chain improvement project using a project plan, schedule, milestones, stakeholder updates, and a final recommendation.
- Help document sourcing files and process steps in accordance with company policies and applicable government-contracting requirements.
- Present an end-of-summer capstone summarizing results, lessons learned, and recommended next steps.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a rising senior enrolled in a bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university studying supply chain management, business, engineering, operations, analytics, project management, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to organize and analyze data accurately.
- Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated teamwork and problem-solving through coursework, student organizations, employment, or project experience.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework or project experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, operations, data analytics, or project management.
- Exposure to ERP/procurement systems, Power BI, advanced Excel, or supplier-performance metrics.
- Previous internship, co-op, part-time work, or leadership experience in a team environment.
- Interest in building a post-graduation career in supply chain, procurement, or project management.
