Product Management Intern - Summer 2027

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Product Management Intern to join our team. Supporting the product management team, you will play a crucial role in maximizing revenue growth and enhancing customer retention. You will focus on executing product strategies that drives profitable above-market growth across our division and the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Product Strategy:
    • Assist in maintaining the product roadmap, aligning it with company goals and market demands.
    • Understand and implement pricing strategies to optimize profitability and market share.
    • Learn about markets and competitive landscape for target products
  • Product Lifecycle Management:
    • Understand the product lifecycle strategy & 80/20 view of the portfolio
    • Support product management activities in applicable stages of the innovation process
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Get to know the ITW Welding sales team and support their efforts to grow market share with existing customers and identify new target accounts.
    • Collaborate with segment managers to understand trends and needs of the market
    • Gain experience working with operations, quality, customer service, engineering
    • Understand the role of each division under the ITW Welding family of brands
  • Sales Support and Customer Engagement:
    • Support sales team as needed (pricing, delivery, quality, sales content)
    • Understand needs and pain points of the ITW Welding sales team
  • Strategic Planning Contribution:
    • Support product managers in the annual planning process for their portfolios 

Qualifications:

  • Working on a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
  • Applicable internship experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
