Life.Church Host Team Pastor Internship

The Life.Church Host Team Pastor Internship is for hard-working and driven young adults who are ready to gain valuable ministry experience while developing in their leadership.

God made you unique, and His plan for you is unlike anyone else’s. Leaders come in all shapes and sizes—yours included. That’s why, when you pursue an internship at Life.Church, you’re not going to get the one-size-fits-all experience. In the Campus Internship program at Life.Church, you’ll get incredible 1-on-1 training from our pastors, gain valuable experience, and do work that matters. An internship at a Life.Church location isn’t for just anyone—and that’s why we think it might be a perfect fit for you. We would love to have you be a part of what God is doing in and through our church!

The Life.Church Campus Internship is designed to help young adults develop as leaders spiritually, personally, and professionally. Life.Church is currently seeking young adults who are passionate about making ministry a full-time calling but may not have full-time ministry experience. Interns will have the opportunity to develop under some of the best leaders in ministry and work in a team environment that encourages personal and professional growth.

If you are a hard-working, driven, and teachable young leader who is ready to grow and learn about ministry at Life.Church, keep reading to learn more about the Host Team Campus Internship.

  • Full-time Campus Internship start date: January 2027
  • Full-time internships are 3-6 months long
  • There is a 3-month option for college students in the summer.
  • Internships are full-time (40 hours a week)
  • Interns will develop spiritually, personally, and professionally through book discussions, staff training events, and other ministry opportunities

As a Host Team Intern, you get to play a part in leading and developing the volunteer team that creates an unforgettable guest experience to open hearts to the truth of God's word.

The Host Team is a team of volunteers who help Life.Church feel like a welcoming and comfortable place for people. From the parking lot to the auditorium and every step in between, Host Team volunteers help each person know Life.Church is a place they can attend and, even better, where they can belong.

As a Host Team Intern, you will partner with the lead Host Team Pastor to recruit, develop, and coach volunteer leaders (leaders of leaders) who make the Host Team run every weekend. Your role builds and invests in the volunteers who serve alongside you to create a team people can’t wait to be a part of. In this role, you will also pastor guests who are looking for a home here and lead them into next steps, a spiritual community, and a relationship with God that changes their life.

What You'll Do

  • Cast a compelling, inspiring vision for the Host Team through weekly huddles and ongoing coaching.
  • Recruit, develop, and coach volunteer leaders, honing their leadership skills and investing in their personal and spiritual growth.
  • Empower leaders to own the guest and volunteer experience.
  • Provide pastoral care to guests and volunteers, helping people find a home at Life.Church.
  • Build community and connection among the team, discipling volunteers toward spiritual, relational, and missional growth.
  • Set clear expectations and coach the team to consistently deliver hospitality with excellence that inspires others.
  • Onboard new volunteers and guide them from their first serving experience through ongoing development.

Skills Needed to Succeed

  • A passion for the guest experience, customer service, and hospitality.
  • Ability to inspire and coach teams toward a shared vision.
  • Strong relational and communication skills with a diverse range of people.
  • Effective at time management and following through on commitments.
  • Effective management of systems and operations that provide safety and support for guests and volunteers.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to make independent decisions.
  • Drive and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Remember, this isn’t your average internship. So, we’ll really love it if:

  • You are a fourth-degree black belt in laughter
  • Your idea of an internship has way more to do with making a difference than making copies

Full-time Interns earn $15 hourly and are considered full-time temporary employees of Life.Church.
