Are you passionate about finance, analytics, and turning data into business insights? Join DigiKey's Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team and gain hands-on experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic decision-making for a global organization.

As an FP&A Intern, you'll work alongside experienced finance professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, and develop analytical skills that will prepare you for a career in corporate finance, accounting, business analytics, or financial planning.

This internship is located at DigiKey's corporate headquarters in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, and includes company-provided local housing.

What You'll Do

  • Support the FP&A team with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and business analysis activities
  • Assist in preparing for annual planning and budgeting processes
  • Conduct variance analysis by comparing actual results against forecasts and budgets
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within financial and operational data
  • Manage special projects and contribute ideas for improving existing financial processes
  • Create reports and presentations that support business planning and decision-making
  • Collaborate with finance and business teams across the organization

Qualifications

Required

  • Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in:
    • Finance
    • Accounting
    • Economics
    • Business Administration
    • Or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Interest in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business analytics
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to take initiative

Preferred Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:
    • Formulas and functions
    • Pivot tables
    • Data analysis and reporting
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or other reporting and visualization tools is a plus, but not required

Housing & Location

This internship is based in Thief River Falls, MN and requires regular onsite attendance.

Company-provided housing includes:

Compensation

Pay is based on completed education level and relevant experience.

Undergraduate Students

  • $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Graduate Students

  • Master's Degree: $26.00 per hour
  • PhD Program: $29.00 per hour
