Student Videography and Creative Content Internship

Cascardo Art & Design LLC is seeking a creative, motivated student to work directly with Michigan visual artist Daniel Cascardo to document his artwork, creative process, studio, Art Action Experiences, events, and behind-the-scenes moments. The intern will help develop professional video content for social media, website, promotional materials, and brand storytelling.

Expected responsibilities include filming Daniel working in his Oak Park studio and at selected Metro Detroit events; capturing artwork, creative processes, Art Action Experiences, installations, interviews, and behind-the-scenes moments; editing short-form videos for social media and other digital platforms; identifying compelling stories and moments; organizing video footage for future use; and collaborating with Daniel on creative concepts, shot ideas, interviews, and visual storytelling.

Desired skills include video shooting and basic cinematography, video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar software, an understanding of composition, lighting, framing, and visual storytelling, and familiarity with short-form social media content. Photography skills are a plus. Candidates should be creative, dependable, organized, self-motivated, and comfortable contributing ideas in a collaborative environment.

Minimum requirements include being a current college student studying film, video production, photography, digital media, communications, advertising, marketing, or a related creative field; basic video editing experience; and the ability to travel to the Cascardo Art & Design studio in Oak Park, Michigan, with occasional Metro Detroit-area events. Access to a camera or quality video equipment is preferred. A portfolio, demo reel, or examples of previous video or content work are also preferred.

This is an unpaid educational internship with flexible scheduling around the student’s academic commitments. The internship provides hands-on professional experience, mentorship, portfolio-building opportunities, and exposure to both the creative and business sides of a working artist’s practice. Approved work may be used in the intern’s portfolio or demo reel, and Daniel is happy to work with the student and university regarding academic credit when available and appropriate.
