POSITION SUMMARY
We are currently recruiting for an Administrative Assistant position. This full-time position is located in Wilmington, DE and pays $21 per hour.
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative, customer service, scheduling, office management, and program support for the Dual Generation Center. The position assists with scheduling, communications, reports, filing, supplies, events, vendor coordination, and program evaluation while supporting positive relationships with families, schools, partners, and community members. The role requires strong organization, communication, customer service, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide administrative support to staff, including scheduling meetings, phone calls, travel arrangements, and events.
- Draft communications, prepare mailings, and provide general administrative support.
- Provide customer service to families, schools, partners, community members, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare reports and maintain organized and appropriate filing systems.
- Manage office supplies and coordinate ordering as needed.
- Assist with troubleshooting basic technology issues and coordinate with outside vendors for services and repairs.
- Support program evaluation by entering, organizing, and summarizing workshop feedback.
- Represent the Dual Generation Center at events and community activities as needed.
- Bring relevant information and ideas from events, meetings, and community interactions back to the organization.
- Support organizational advocacy efforts as assigned.
- Assist with special projects and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and priorities effectively and professionally.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with families, schools, community partners, vendors, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Ability to represent the organization professionally at community events and other activities.
- Commitment to supporting the mission and communities served by the organization.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of two years of relevant work experience required.
- Experience in administrative support, office coordination, customer service, or a related field preferred.
- Degree preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to use standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, printers, and related technology.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to travel within the state as required.
- Ability to attend and support community events and organizational activities as needed.
