Marketing & Social Media Intern

Free and Simple Foods is a growing, women-owned Michigan snack brand looking for a creative, motivated marketing intern to help grow our brand and expand our reach.

This is a hands-on opportunity to work directly with the founder on social media marketing, content creation, brand awareness, marketing strategy, and business growth. I’m looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas, take initiative, and help turn marketing ideas into action.

Responsibilities may include:

Creating social media content, including Instagram and TikTok Reels

Collaborating with the founder to film videos and showcase our products

Planning social media content and helping maintain a consistent posting schedule

Developing creative marketing campaigns and promotional ideas

Researching opportunities to grow brand awareness, reach new customers, and expand retail partnerships

Supporting overall marketing strategy, digital marketing, and brand development

Work arrangement: Hybrid and flexible, with remote work for planning, research, and content development, along with occasional in-person collaboration in the Rochester Hills area for filming and content creation.

Ideal candidate: A student studying marketing, digital marketing, communications, or a related field who is creative, organized, self-motivated, and excited about entrepreneurship and small business growth. Experience with social media platforms and video editing is a plus, but a willingness to learn and bring new ideas is just as important.

Time commitment: Approximately 10–15 hours per week, with flexibility around academic schedules.

This opportunity is ideal for a student who wants practical experience, portfolio-building projects, and the opportunity to see their marketing efforts make a real impact on a growing small business. Internship credit may be explored through the student's college or university. Compensation will be discussed transparently based on the arrangement.
