Summer Intern (summer 2024)

Job Title: Summer Intern

Infoverity is seeking college students to join us for our summer internship program and become a valued part of the team at our growing consulting firm.  Ideal candidates will be those that will be rising seniors in the summer of 2024 (those who are rising juniors may also apply).

Overview

Staff at Infoverity are broken into two groups: Delivery and Support. The Delivery practices include our Customer Solutions Groups practice, our Product Solutions Group practice, and our Data Governance and Analytics practice. Our Support practice is our Operational Services Group practice. 

The team members who make up our delivery practices are experts who specialize in leading clients in the strategy and execution of implementing business solutions enabled by market leading Master Data Management (MDM) and Product Information Management (PIM) solutions. They also connect business strategy with IT/analytics strategies, architectures, processes, and people to improve customer engagement, optimize supply chains, and improve productivity. Our support practice provides support and hosting solutions to our clients, handling complex ticketing issues and problem-solving with our clients.

About the Internship

The Infoverity delivery practice internship program consists of internal learning, internal projects, and potential client projects in the areas of consulting, SQL skills, data modeling, testing solutions, data profiling, master data management, and client interaction. This internship offers you an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and gain hands-on consulting experience in a small, but global company. Additionally, the internship consists of internal skills development, internal projects, and potential client projects in the areas of consulting, SQL skills, data modeling, data profiling, cloud data management, data visualization, and client interaction. This internship offers you an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and gain hands-on consulting experience in a small, but global company.

Within our support area the internship focuses on working with a team of mentors to see what it takes to support our clients’ needs: from initial triage of client tickets, to developing health check dashboards and other useful tools our clients need. The internship program consists of expanding your knowledge in the plethora of services offered by the team via internal development projects and potential client projects. The program focuses on IT consulting, learning new software skills, software development, project management skills, and client interaction basics. This internship offers you an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and gain hands-on consulting experience in a small, but global company.

During the interview process Infoverity staff will connect with candidates and speak to them about these areas. We will then do our best to place interns into an area where a) we feel they will be the best fit based on their skill set, and b) can grow and learn through the summer!

Outside of your work within a specific area you will have the opportunity to collaborate with Interns from other areas for our annual Intern Service Project, and you also will attend our annual global all-staff meeting and party!

Key Responsibilities (vary by practice)

  • Partner with assigned mentor and other internal employees on project tasks in the course of delivering information management solutions to Infoverity clients
  • Gain experience with information management enabling technologies, such as data profilers, data quality solutions, SQL scripting tools, MDM hubs, and more
  • Participate in the configuration, testing, and deployment of enabling technologies
  • Contributes to client, internal, and service project goals under the guidance of assigned mentor
  • Learn how to install and configure enterprise data management tools
  • Troubleshoot real client production issues
  • Refine internal process reporting, documenting metrics and trends
  • Gain exposure to the following software and tools: EnterWorks, Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket),
  • Informatica Products (PowerCenter ETL, Informatica Data Quality, Product 360, MDM), Power BI dashboard.
  • Produce an end of internship presentation for the executive leadership of Infoverity highlighting your experience and value created

Critical Competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An extrovert who is intellectually curious and eager to tackle new technical challenges
  • Strong desire to build technical, business analysis, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated leadership via extracurricular activities or other experiential learning
  • Able to work with minimal supervision

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate student majoring in MIS, CS, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Business, Engineering, Healthcare, Public Health or related field
  • Must be able to report to our Dublin, Ohio office for the duration of the internship
  • Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Relevant work or internship experience is a plus
