Supply Chain Internship
The Supply Chain Internship will introduce the day-to-day life of being on a team in a brokerage environment working closely on the Managed Transportation, Cross Border Services or Consolidation (LTL) team. You will be introduced to the Value driven culture of TA Services, the freight industry and market conditions, along with our customers and daily operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with building customer orders in the Mcleod TMS and Mercury Gate TMS
- Scheduling pick up and delivery appointments at shipping and receiving locations
- negotiating rates and booking loads with carrier partners,
- tracking and tracing loads using many forms of communication, such as email, phone and Macro Point location services.
- provide timely updates to our customer partners and incorporate the problem solving skills needed to ensure on-time pick-up and on-time delivery of all loads
- held accountable for ensuring that all customer SLAs are met and that we are meeting all KPI standards.
Qualifications
- Earning a degree in Supply Chain or Analytics or related fields
- Ability to work on site in Indianapolis Indiana
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
