About the Internship Program
At Total Wine and More, summer internships are project based and designed to expose students to the broader retail environment and future career opportunities. The Store Support Center Summer Internship is a paid, 12-week structured program where interns complete meaningful work and contribute to Total Wine and More’s success.
Interns are partnered with a Mentor within their department to provide guidance and support as they navigate a corporate environment. Alongside work that supports business value, interns will develop interpersonal skills and be provided with a broad knowledge of the retail industry. Interns will close the summer by presenting out on their learnings to Total Wine & More leaders, their teams, and fellow interns.
Job Description
We are looking for a HR Interns to join the Human Resources department for Summer 2024. Our HR teams work to attract, develop and retain the best team in retail. They support the entire lifecycle of an employee, recruit talent, and deliver on Total Wine's commitment to our teams and communities through ESG and DEI efforts.
You will learn the key milestones within an employee lifecycle and learn project and program planning to support recruitment, employee engagement and ESG efforts.
Potential Job Duties
- Act as the internship cohort captain and work to make sure interns are attending and benefitting from programming.
- Help plan fun and impactful engagement activities for both interns and full-time employees.
- Analyze employee survey data results to create a project plan.
- Work on full-cycle recruitment planning and future intern programming.
- Create strategy and help implement new tool to manage donation requests processes
You will come with
- A Fall 2024, Spring 2025, or Summer 2025 graduation date from a bachelor’s degree program
- A people orientated mindset
- Passion for developing ideas and processes; someone who enjoys brainstorming and putting it into action!
- An ability to be a team player who can pivot between priorites
- Enouraged to apply if you've led student or club orientations (and loved it!), you're passionate about getting others involved in new activities or if you love creating and marking off checklists.
- Retail and customer service experience is always a plus.
