Electrical Engineering Intern (co-op)
Develop a general understanding of the various day-to-day responsibilities to support electrical hardware development in the Automotive industry.
Responsibilities:
- Use your knowledge of electronic circuits to assist engineers in designing and testing electronic control units (ECU) and/or inverters for various applications
- Assist engineers to perform circuit simulations and worst-case analysis on circuit level for ECUs and/or inverters
- Support hands-on electronics laboratory tasks: soldering, building wire harnesses, electronic unit tear-down, and test set-up
- Perform regular performance reviews in conjunction with supervisor and intern advisor
- Perform end of semester presentation on a project.
Qualifications:
- College student pursing a bachelor’s or master's degree in electrical engineering or related field
- Strong project and time management skills
- Some experience/knowledge of electronics related software such as LTSpice, Mathcad
- Good computer application software knowledge and skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently; willingness to take initiative
- Fluent in English
