Communication/Development Internship

Camp Oakland Internship:

Busy Development Director at a local non-profit in search of an eager intern who is interested in learning the ropes of fundraising, grant writing, business development, and community outreach.

Duties would include:

-Setting up meetings

-Social Media content 

-Researching grants and helping to write grants

-Reaching out to donors for donations/sponsorships/etc.

-Helping to plan and execute events

Must be comfortable working remotely sometimes.

Must be comfortable working in proximity to juveniles on occasion.

A little about Camp Oakland:

Camp Oakland is a non-profit organization that has been part of the Oxford Community for more than 70 years. The severely at-risk youth that reside here are referred to us by the Juvenile Justice Program. Youth come from all across the s ate of Michigan and stay for various lengths of time, depending on individual situations. Camp Oakland maintains 160 acres, which is utilized in emotional and psychological healing programs for their residents, many of whom are affected by neglect and/or abuse.
