NTERNSHIP/INDEPENDENT STUDY

Responsibilities would include some or all of the following under the direction of state campaign staff or county leadership volunteers: 

Participation and in some cases coordination of small and large events for the public. 

Participation in the ballot access process.

Participation and in some cases coordination of voter recruitment events.

Participation and in some cases coordination of volunteer outreach events. 

Social Media research and marketing of various issues related to campaign strategy.

Research into issues relating to campaign strategy.

Research into affinity groups and organizations that are related to above issues. 

Student interns will participate in on-boarding training in a variety of areas their first week on the campaign.  Students will receive an intern guidebook.  

Students must possess the following skills and attributes:

The ability to work as part of a team. 

Can take and follow directions.

A calm, patient, and positive demeanor.

The ability to communicate effectively in writing, by phone and in person.

Excellent organization skills and an attention to detail. 

Technical skills to use various databases. 

Ability to manage and participate in a variety of social media platforms.
