Job Description

 

If you are interested in learning how products are designed and manufactured, this would be a good group for an internship.  We do deal with manufacturing issues as they relate to quality and/or cost optimization, but this is not a manufacturing or quality position.

 

Duties may include:

supporting design work through measurements & part scanning (2D/3D).
supporting design through book shelving of data.
supporting design work through modeling in CAD. Educational  You could be supporting design work through measurements & part scanning (2D/3D).
You would become exposed to engine & sealing components and the relationship between design and performance.
You would become exposed to the process of designing products.
You would become exposed to all the manufacturing processes done locally within our facility as it relates to gasket manufacturing – blanking, forming, stamping, molding, etc.
You would become exposed to the variety of tasks that occur in an actual work environment.
 

Requirements/Qualifications:

Must be currently enrolled student majoring in Mechanical Engineering and must have completed the freshman year.

 

Abilities/Skills:

Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills required.  

The Candidate must display maturity and a high level of professionalism.

Strong computer skills desired
MS Office - primarily Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
CAD - NX, AutoCAD TeamCenter
