College Intern-Asset Managment

Summary:

The Asset Management Intern will support GLWA’s asset management program through research, audits, data collection, tagging, and report development. The Intern will support Asset Management efforts while developing skills associated with Reliability & Maintenance Engineering, Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS), Geographic Information System (GIS) Software, and Water and Wastewater Engineering.

Job Description:

  • Assist with asset audits, visiting GLWA facilities and capturing critical asset information.
  • Assist with asset data collection and asset tagging.
  • Assist with Linear System Integrity Program (LSIP) data collection and entry, including leveraging GIS.
  • Compile and analyze data/reports.
  • Take on additional tasks or projects to learn more about asset management and other functional areas of GLWA

Education Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an associates, bachelors or master’s degree program with an accredited college or university in a Business, Science or Engineering Degree.
  • A student in good standing and classified by their institution as a rising sophomore or higher.

 

Other Requirements

  • Able to commit to working at least 20 hours per week
  • Able to commit to the intern position for a minimum of two months
  • Follow security and safety policies and procedures in carrying out work duties.
  • Ability to commute to GLWA facilities on a daily basis
