Communications Intern

ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Corporate Communications Intern to join our team. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in various aspects of corporate communications, including internal and external communications, public relations, and content creation. This internship is a paid opportunity for a duration of 10-12 weeks. The work schedule will be approximately 40 hours a week dependent on workload and your school schedule. 

With the help of the Communication Specialist and Lead specialist, the intern:

  • Will assist in drafting and editing internal communications materials, including company newsletters, announcements, feature stories and memos.
  • Will contribute to the creation of content for the company's website, intranet site, and social media channels.
  • Will provide administrative support to the corporate communications team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organizing files.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Applicant must be within two years of completing degree.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in written materials.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Prior internship or coursework in communications or marketing is a plus.
