Competitive Gymnastics Team Coach

Viking Gymnastics & Dance seeks student-athletes looking to turn their love of gymnastics into a rewarding career mentoring young competitive gymnasts!

Description of Duties:

• Coach competitive USAG team gymnasts
• Promote development by providing and applying intentional coaching skills and techniques at each practice
• Develop positive relationships with gymnasts, coaches, and parents
• Attend local, regional, and national meets as scheduled
• Ensure that program standards are met and safety procedures followed
• Participate in meetings and professional development training
• Coach Recreational and/or Tot classes (if full-time position desired)

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience as a high-level optional or compulsory gymnast (USAG Level 8+ and/or NCAA preferred)
• Experience coaching team or recreational gymnastics (preferred, but we will train the right person to become a successful coach)
• CPR Certification (or willing to obtain)
• USAG Membership & Safe Sport Certification (or willing to obtain)
• Professional, respectful, kind, and compassionate
• Team player in a collaborative environment
• Reliable and timely
• Enthusiastic, energetic, and animated
• Passion for working with children in ways that build confidence
• Up to date on current best practices
• Continual learner and receptive to feedback
